Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Fudini.
How does AI breed identification work?
Take or upload a photo of your pet. Our AI analyzes the image to identify the breed, estimate age and size, and generate a health profile with breed-specific characteristics and longevity insights.
How accurate is the breed identification?
Our AI is highly accurate for purebred dogs and cats. For mixed breeds, it identifies the most likely breed components. Accuracy improves with clear, well-lit photos showing your pet's full body or face.
What animals does Fudini support?
Fudini currently supports dogs and cats. We may add support for other pets in the future.
How are food recommendations generated?
Our AI considers your pet's breed, age, size, activity level, and any health conditions or medications you've entered. It then matches this profile against food options to find the best nutritional fit for their long-term health.
Can I update my pet's health information?
Yes. Go to your pet's profile settings to update health conditions, medications, activity level, and other details. Recommendations will update automatically.
Are the food recommendations sponsored?
No. Recommendations are developed with veterinarians and pet nutritionists on our team, based on your pet's nutritional needs. We do not accept payment from pet food brands for placement.
What is the Fudini Smart Collar?
The world's smallest pet health tracker — just 2×2 cm, under 15g. It tracks sleep, activity, and exercise 24/7 via Bluetooth. No GPS, no SIM card, no monthly tracker fees. The collar connects health data to personalized insights and smarter nutrition.
Does the collar use GPS?
No. The Smart Collar uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to sync data with your phone. It tracks activity and sleep patterns, not location. This is what keeps it tiny and long-lasting.
How does the collar connect to the app?
The collar syncs automatically via Bluetooth when your phone is nearby. It stores data locally and transfers it to the app during sync. No Wi-Fi or cellular connection needed.
Do I need to create an account?
Fudini uses device-based authentication, so you're automatically signed in when you first open the app. No email or password needed.
Can I add multiple pets?
Yes. You can add as many pets as you like and switch between them from the welcome screen or by long-pressing your pet's avatar on the dashboard.
Is Fudini free?
The app is free. Breed analysis, food recommendations, daily tips, the social community, photo diary, and manual activity logging are all included at no cost. The Smart Collar is a premium membership that adds 24/7 automatic tracking and advanced health insights.
What data does Fudini collect?
We store your pet's photo, breed analysis, health profile, food preferences, and activity data. We do not collect personal information like your name or email unless you contact support. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How can I delete my data?
Email support@fudini.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and we will delete all your data within 30 days.
Are my pet's photos shared with anyone?
Photos are only shared if you choose to post them to the social feed. Photos used for breed analysis are processed by AI and not shared with third parties.
What standards are your food recommendations based on?
Our scoring algorithm follows FEDIAF (European Pet Food Industry Federation) nutritional guidelines and considers breed-specific recommendations from veterinary associations including WSAVA (World Small Animal Veterinary Association) and ESVCN (European Society of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition).
Are recommendations reviewed by veterinarians?
Our scoring factors are based on peer-reviewed veterinary nutrition research. The matching algorithm considers breed size, life stage, health conditions, and nutritional profiles per FEDIAF guidelines. We continuously refine our scoring with input from veterinary nutrition professionals.
How is the food match score calculated?
Each product starts at a base score and is adjusted for breed size compatibility, life stage match, grain sensitivity, joint support needs, omega-3 requirements, allergen avoidance, and other health factors. The final score reflects how well a product meets your specific pet's nutritional needs according to FEDIAF standards.
