What It Does
The body's main fat-soluble antioxidant — it shields cells from oxidative damage and works together with selenium to boost immune response. Veterinary studies show dogs and cats given enhanced vitamin E have measurably stronger immune systems and better antibody responses to vaccination.
What You’ll Notice
Adequate vitamin E gives your pet a visibly shinier, softer coat and reduces itchy, flaky skin. Deficiency causes muscle weakness, low energy, frequent infections, poor appetite, and in severe cases brown bowel syndrome.
Sources & Notes
Plant oils, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, nuts. Works synergistically with selenium — deficiency of both together causes more severe symptoms.
