What It Does
A trace mineral critical for bone development, cartilage formation, and energy metabolism. Manganese activates enzymes that build the proteoglycans forming cartilage — the cushioning material in joints. It also supports mitochondrial function (your pet's cellular energy factories) and reproductive health.
What You’ll Notice
Deficiency is uncommon in pets on balanced diets, but when it occurs, it causes poor bone development in puppies, weakened cartilage, and reproductive problems. Growing large-breed puppies are most at risk. Manganese works alongside glucosamine and chondroitin for joint health.
